The typical 2-week Schedule

It is preferable that students arrive at OR Tambo on a Saturday or Sunday so that they can settle in and be ready for work on Monday morning.
Wildlife work often starts at sunrise and finish at sunset, which means that days are jam packed and hectic to get to many different farms and locations every day in order to get the work done.  Weekends are spent in a relaxing way at the lodge in order to be rested and ready for the new week’s challenges on the Monday.
No two days’ schedules look the same, never mind 2 weeks! The exact number of cases and species you get to work with depend entirely on the requests from farmers and farm managers. None of the cases are staged or planned in advance for entertainment or experimental purposes!
Transfers back to OR Tambo or Johannesburg will be on the following Saturday or Sunday.
